- What, to you, are the three most important themes and ideas in this story/novel? Narrow your list down to one theme or idea, and write a couple of paragraphs discussing the theme
- Characterization: How would you describe Arnold's character?
- Setting: Describe the two contrasting settings in the novel: The Spokane Indian Reservation and Reardan.

- How many tribes are there? Can you name a few?
- Find some info about the Spokane Tribe, and their current situation
- What is a reservation?
- What is cultural appropriation, and how is this term relevant in relation to Native American culture?
