Task

• Think about your identity, what would you include as an essential part of who you are? Write you name in a circle in the middle of a page, then make surrounding circles where you write names of different groupings you feel affiliated with (family, friends, university, hobbies, sports, values, culture, friends, traditions, beliefs, etc.).
• Reflect on which groupings and affiliations have had a particular influence on you. What influences have shaped your character?
• Bring an item to class on Tuesday that represents an important part of your identity, and be prepared to share some reflections about your item and identity with the rest of the group.
