- What, to you, are the three most important themes and ideas in this story/novel? Narrow your list down to one theme or idea, and write a couple of paragraphs discussing the theme
- Characterization: How would you describe Arnold's character?
- Setting: Describe the two contrasting settings in the novel: The Spokane Indian Reservation and Reardan.
- Listen to the interview in "The Absolutely True Diary module", where Sherman Alexie talks about his book.
